A packaged solution to meet your temperature monitoring needs
  • You want to monitor the temperature of a refrigerator for vaccines or medication

You are looking for solutions to monitor the temperature of a vaccine or drug storage refrigerator. You want a quick and easy to install solution. We have created a complete package to meet your needs.

What does the temperature monitoring package contain ?

The package contains everything you need to start monitoring the temperature of your pharmaceutical refrigerator in 5 minutes.

The package contains a digital temperature sensor, a smart hub and an access to the Thermotrack Webserve cloud so that you can monitor the temperature of your fridge remotely and receive alerts on your phone or via email when the temperature is exceeded.

A temperature sensor

The temperature sensor covers a range of -50 to +90°C and gives an accuracy of ±0.5 degrees celcius. With a resolution of 0.1 degrees, it displays the most accurate temperature of your fridge.

Thanks to its 0.7 mm thick flat cable, you can insert the sensor through the refrigerator door without creating frost.

Technical specifications :

  • Temperature range : -50/+90°C
  • Accuracy : ± 0.5°C
  • Resolution : 0.1 °C
  • Cable length : 2 meters
  • Thickness : 0.7 mm

A smart hub

The temperature sensor plugs into the box delivered with the temperature monitoring pack. You can choose between two types of connection : Ethernet with Sensor Net Connect, or wireless with FoxNet.

In both cases, easily attach the box to the side of the refrigerator using the magnet on the back.

  • Plug the Sensor Net Connect into an Ethernet socket.
  • The FoxNet communicates wirelessly with a receiver plugged into an Ethernet socket.

  • Ethernet connection
  • Power supply : mains supply

Technical specifications FoxNet :

  • Wireless connection (60 m indoors)
  • Power supply : 2 LR6 batteries

If the temperature is exceeded, you receive alarm notifications by email, SMS or smartphone notification.

All data is secured and archived for 10 years.

Main functions :

Install your temperature monitoring system in a few minutes

We have thought of everything to make your life easier and simplified the installation so that you can very quickly follow the cold chain of vaccines and medications in your fridge.

With a few clicks you create your account and set up the Sensor Net Connect to recognize your network (wired or Wi-Fi). The temperature sensor is placed in the fridge and the Sensor Net Connect is attached to the side with the magnet. All you have to do is plug it into your box or switch and a power outlet.

That’s it ! All that remains is to define the limits of the sensor (generally between +2 and +8°C for vaccines or medicines). You can also create several other users who will receive alert messages when temperatures are exceeded.

At what temperature should vaccines be stored?

The storage temperature of most vaccines is between +2 and +8 degrees Celsius. Vaccine that is improperly stored should not be administered. If it freezes, the vaccine becomes dangerous. If it exceeds 8 degrees, the vaccine loses its effectiveness the longer the temperature excursion lasts (cumulative effect).

The recent Covid 19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNtech can be stored at -70°C. It can also be stored at +2 +8 degrees during the transport and distribution phase at the vaccination center.

See Pfizer’s cold chain specifications here.

Cold chain management in a pharmacy

The UK NHS and its Specialist Pharmacy Service has published on March 5th, 2021 aguide to maintain the COVID-19 vaccines cold chain.

Particularly, it is required that “Temperatures in the refrigerator must be monitored and recorded at least once each working day, and documented on a chart for recording temperatures… The records should be readily accessible, be retained for at least one year, and cover the full storage history of any products contained in the fridge. As shelf lives specified by vaccine manufacturers can be up to four years or longer, retaining records for five years will generally enable the full storage history of the vaccines be accounted for.”
