From reception to dispensing, heat-sensitive medicines must be stored between 2 and 8 °C.
But cold chain breaks sometimes occur and often go unnoticed, during the night or on days when the pharmacy is closed. The National Council of the Order of Pharmacists recommends that temperatures be recorded regularly and that a monitoring and warning system be in place at all times.
